Summary & Thoughts

We’ve started the fund with virtually $0 and grown it to almost $10000. Insignificant when compared to most investment fund start-ups started by seasoned professionals, but we have to start somewhere and embrace the challenges and potential of failing along the way, while learning nonetheless.

While we’ve remained profitable and maintained above average performance, our hardest challenges have been the following:

• Raising funds from investors

• Engagement and monetisation of our analysis, research and content

• Reaching regulators and obtaining official licensing

• Finding young talent that’s enthusiastic about stock markets and a medium-long-term mindset on investing.

Finance as a whole is practically crippled by regulation and high barriers to entry (mostly to protect consumers) but innovation is strangled. This innovation and ambition is required to keep the industry growing. Which is where youth like myself come in to push through these barriers and try out new ideas. We believe in our investment process and, just like any other business start-up, we believe we have a product/service that works and provides value to any of its users, and we’ll continue innovating, improving, and demonstrating our value.
